-I came across this recipe through the relative of a friend about 15 years ago. She was from Brazil and made these sweets for Christmas. I loved them and have made them on and off ever since.
-Yes, they have sugar but the sweet potato has such a low glycaemic index (GI) that it "neutralises" the sugar..... well sort of. The lemon juice also lowers the GI. In fact, add more lemon juice for a bit of extra tang.
-Anyway, you eat 2 or 3 with your cup of tea.
