Watercress is one of my favourite edible weeds. Yesterday,

I found watercress in a chalk creek in the Lincolnshire wolds (UK). They farm it here and it has a slightly peppery taste. A tiny bunch of watercress will cost you $2.50 in Woolworths. So, look out for it in Victoria (Australia) in creeks in South Gippsland and in Daylesford. Watercress was easy to find around Blackburn lake until it dried out. Toss it in a Greek salad with fried haloumi cheese and artichoke hearts.
